Nothing ugly about this. Looks like one of those quilts I would love to have on a cold winter day when all I want to do is curl up with a good book or put on a good movie. As much as I appreciate a prize winning drop dead beautifuly quilt that would have to hang on a wall, I much prefer a quilt that keeps me warm on a cold winter's night, and if I spill a little coffee/tea/coke on it, or drop some food on it, or the grand kids drag in on the floor, it can go in the wash and be ready for a lot of love and use again.

It really isn't that hard to do.
I just found a simple quilt design on one of the websites, kinda like a redwork design...
Hooped the quilt with no stabilizer, supported the quilt with the ironing board and the desk...and away I went.
I don't think I would do a queen or king size this way but wanted to try it!
Thanks for all the kind comments everyone.

It has turned out just gorgeous!! :D
I have had the same thing, in the back
of my mind, but wasn't sure that I
could do it with my EM. Now I think I
will give it a try. Thank you for post-
ing your idea!! Love your quilt!!

FIRST, it wasn't an ugly quilt to start with!
SECOND, I'm glad to see you took the leap and worked without stabilizer. You were really brave to do it without testing - I guess you really thought that's an ugly quilt!
FINALLY, you've done just what convinced me to buy a used embroidery machine last year! I'd been resisting embroidery for YEARS and still am, but the machine quilting possibilities are ENDLESS!
