    I have one that I want to use organza on .. Although it may take me years to finish it at this rate... Any secrets you can impart?

    How inspiring !! I am too traditional (maybe boring) to try such a challenge - even I would have to admit that it's outside my comfort zone but an awesome quilt just the same. I really must try living on the edge sometime but not just yet ! LOL

    Of course it depends how you want to use it. As an over lay it is very simple. Draw your design/pattern, preferably on a washaway stabilizer, or something like tissue paper that will tear easily with minimal pulling on the stitching. This is because until you heavily anchor the organza there is a chance it will separate from the stitches and then you get gaps and pulls in the material.
    That said, it IS easy. Pin your organza to the base with your pattern on top. Stitch small stitches along the line. Remove ONLY the pattern. Then restitch or zig zag densely over the line again. Then cut away the excess organza. I showed this thoroughly in my tutoral about Chiffon leaves.
    Be brave... its only cloth!
