    Love it.

I decided to cut lots of my fabrics that I didn't like so well and some I doubted I'd ever use in a planned quilt. I sorted them by lights, mediums, and darks and put them in plastic tubs. I left them in whatever lengths they were as they were cut. I cut them 2", but jelly roll patterns are made with 2 1/2" strips, so that might have been a better choice. I just sat and picked up strips one at a time as I made each block. The hardest colors to use are the mediums because many do not have the contrast you need in the cabin quilt. I have plenty left for lots more projects! I feel guilty every time I look at those tubs and wish for MORE fabric! ;-)
I think your strips are just right. To me a LC quilt focuses on color/contrast rather than fabric design. I like the narrower strips because you see less of fabric design and more color/contrast. Oh what to do with the leftovers is always a dilema. I made a doll quilt this month from some of them :) :) :)

Love the scrappy look. I also made me a quilt for my bed and made the backing out of scraps and I think I love it more than the front, but the quilter had to take some stitches out and cut a little snip on the back and I was afraid it would start tearing, so I put my label there. If it wasn't for that label, I would probably use it as a reversible quilt. Very pretty quilt, thanks for showing.

I rarely comment on quilts, as so many others already have, but I absolutely LOVE this quilt. It is one of the prettiest I have seen. I love the way the back has no connection with the front, pattern wise or color wise. It is just a fantastic use of color!
