    My backs are usually leftovers from the front; with some added fabric if there isn't enough leftovers.

    Shelley, that back is exquisite! I don't understand, though. Did the customer provide it quilted that way?

    As a handquilter I try not to have to piece the back. It is much more difficult to quilt through if both the front and back have lots of seams. I like to leave it a solid color because then the quilting really shows up well.

    I love the backs on these! Mine are so boring, they're usually just solid color's that co-ordinate with the top! I wish I were creative enough to make a back as pretty as the front!

    Here is the back of one of mine, I usually piece the back with leftovers from the front. For this one I doubled the size of one of the blocks for the back.
