    Shelley, that quilt is pretty on it's own, but your quilting makes it STUNNING! I am VERY impressed! (And a little jealous!)

    Very nice! I piece the backs of my own quilts, but when we hand quilt for others at church we usually use muslin. I prefer more exciting backs for myself! :lol:

    Thanks. On baby and lap quilts, I usually am 4 to 5 inches short on the width. I like to piece a strip from the front fabrics and insert it off center to widen the back. I was taught that putting the seam in the middle is bad, because it is stressed when the quilt is folded. I just finished a lap quilt with this kind of backing last week, but the pictures are still in the camera. I'll try to show the back here tomorrow.
