How very generous of you........I once heard a quote perhaps from here. A quilt was made for sick children using purple and brown fabric.........the maker wondered why she put those colors together, horrible she thought. However a little girl swooped on the quilt saying, "it's peanut butter and jelly" so the girl saw something the quilt maker didn't. If everyone liked the same style we wouldn't have all these wonderful patterns, only one. Keep at it,

I think you either need to brighten up the center or calm down your log cabins. The green you were thinking around the center might be just the thing it needs.

It looks to me as though you have made an excellent start. I'm sure that when you add a green edge to the central fairy and green sashing, everything will look better to you. BTW On the days when I can't get my seam allowances right, I PP my log cabins.

I echo the sentiments of everyone else....when it's done it will be beautiful....frame the middle with the green and whatnot and it will work. Sometimes it's not 'til their quilted they shine.

Unless there is a rush, walk away for a little while, then come back and look with a fresh eye.

I saw a panel pieced with the panel part on the right side of the quilt top & the other pieced blocks on the left side! It was very pretty! I would do a search for using panels in quilts & get a fresh outlook on it! Relax and have some fun! I hear that all the time from my DH!

I think if you cover the other stuff you will see it in a better way. I know the other stuff are probably other projects but they still draw your eye to them. I would cover them up or take them down or flip them. The quilts will be beautiful when you're done.

Consider using a green border around all the fairies (center and small ones). Use the small ones as the outside corners then use pink as your background and green for the binding. You could use pink and purple on the back and put the remaining fairies in the back. Maybe take the other projects off the design wall so you have not other distractions. I think what you have so far is lovely. Good luck and can't wait to see what you come up with.
