oh you could just do some nice large swirls or loops. cute quilt!! just move the quilt slower than the foot pedal speed.

Since it's got so many straight lines I'd do a swirling pattern. Lot's of control practice in swirls.

I would try something new to practice on. Maybe some little dogs and cats or bones or foot prints. Very cute.

I think the bones would be a cute idea.

I like the bones idea the best. Or you could outline the letters & the dog prints and then do a meandering stipple around them. That way if you use a high loft batting then the letters & the dog prints will look really puffy. Then I'd SID on the border. By the way it's a very cute quilt.

I decided, or I guess I should say that my hands just took control, and I ended up with a meandering mess with several little fish here and there for the cat hanging. My brain and hands are not working together very well with free motion. Should have a contest of "how many fish do you see?"

Today I'll give the dog quilt a try with bones.

I tried to send a reply & must have done something wrong. Hope this time works and hope that I don't duplicate my reply. Anyway, it looks great. I see several fish. You're too hard on yourself. Take a look at that picture again, because you've done a good job at FMQ.
