Just reading about your efforts in this made me get teary eyed. What an awesome project. It inspires me to delve into my scrap drawer and tackle it piece by piece. I could probably name it something like yours. Great job!!!

It's a wonderful quilt and I like your pieced back as well. I'm sure it did bring back many happy memories while you were making it and I'm sure it will continue to do so.

Oh that is lovely memory quilt! From the photo on the bed, it looks a little like a quilted form of the old crocheted granny afghan - black sashing with lots of jumbled colors! Super!

Thought for sure Quilters Q. would have it, but not. Any info would be welcome. Thanks.

Searching on the internet for the pattern Vestibule, I came across a blog titled, "Material Culture, Quilt Historian Barbara Brackman's Blog about Quilts and Fabrics, past and present."

The particular blog that pertains to this pattern had this entry (and I paraphrase)
""About 1900 the Ladies' Art Company catalog sold a pattern for the named Vestibule. In 1914 the Household Journal published it as Morning Star.""

The link to Morning star quilt pattern is here.

Have a great day. By the Way!, I love this quilt and it has been put in my pile of quilts to make.
