The light solid is the same in all four pics. I'm not sure why it is so bright in B and C. In A and D it shows closer to the true colour, the prints in all four seem to be pretty close to true.

the purple looks happier and brighter...what I would want , not a granny but....I do like the fat quarters and love those colors, but still purple is happier.

Well, I made a quilt for my granny, and it had a lot of purple... but I guess it depends on what she likes.

I think it would be a good idea to ask her, as a PP suggested, if you really aren't sure what colors she likes. Or try to sneak it into conversation somehow and find out what colors she prefers.
