The only thing I would really want to see different in what QuiltingNinaSue had to say is not having to go from store to store. I would like to see everything in one big store for mix and match to your hearts content. From what I understand, Hamilton isn't big enough and their initial intent was to bring business back to main street. I don't think any of them ever thought it would grow so big. Jenny is a big deal in quilt land. :-) I have found her tutorials the best for me. The main problem with some of the others is that they don't sit close enough to the mike and without clear sound the tute is useless. :-(

Sew glad many of you are planning on a Hamilton, Mo. trip. and yes I agree with quiltingNinaSue on some of her thoughts, I have thought also about having the payee all in one station, but then I feel you would really have to stand in long lines.
and since it is in sew many different building, one looses control of the merchandise. And yes, it is commercialized. But that is part of the fun...I like that you also mentioned some of the different shops in towns you that you know of. And Bronson, Mo. I found out that the shop on the main drag, only sells quilts on display. Some made by Amish, few by locals and othors order from china & etc. & then they have a big shop about 10 miles away, they'll give directions......
Yes I will, show Pics of projects I make from my findings in Hamilton. And yes my DH is supportive of my quilting, but once in awhile he says "Don't you Think you have enough fabric". I just say I kindof need a 3-4th color. He asks who for.and we may go fabric shopping on our way to whereever... Thanks sew much for you comments..and yes I enjoyed seeing all the shops ...

Lucky you, but living in MA, I probably won't be able to get there any time soon.

My husband loves MSQC, so when ever we are going that way, he plans on stopping. I have no problem with that, I love looking around and let myself fall in love several times while there. It might be commercialized, but so are a lot of attractions. We go for the entertainment aspect, and when it stops being fun, we'll no longer stop. Last time DH got one of the higher ups to take him on a tour of some of the buildings they were renovating. He was admiring the architecture while I was admiring the fabric.

I wish it was a little closer to me. I'm happy that you got to go. Does anyone know the name of the quilt tutorial that goes with the quilt in the display?
