Karen, Unless you absolutely need a border I think I would just bind the quilt with the same red fabric you used for the set in triangles or the blue paisley. It really is amazing how different a quilt looks at each stage of completion. I am so happy you perservered. Absolutely beautiful!

I like the blue paisley but I agree with you a nice dark blue border with the antique red binding would be wonderful. You're starting to trust your own insticts now and that's good. You quilt turned out really nice and I can't wait to see it completed.

    GREAT JOB on the piecing!!

However you do it, I'd use some red and some blue! I have a tall son (6'6") so no matter how long it gets with multiple borders, I can tell you that it could still be longer and he wound't mind! (I did a 9' long one once and he loved it....just a simple one that had a great fabric, bought 6 yards, cut it in half and seamed it down the middle, and did the same for the back. Had to piece the batting to get it long enought BUT it was a well loved quilt!!!! He likes to pull some up around his face when he sleeps so he needs really long quilts..)

I agree but I would use the solid blue as an inner border and bind with the red pattern.

I would like a one inch first border of the medium blue from the block, then the paisly for the outer border. Bind with the med blue or the darker blue
