Ya gotta love a "cranky old man",,, especially one with so much to say about "quilting"!!!! LOL

You know and i know this is a work of art and what's gone into it... poor guy probably wants to go down to the stream and beat his clothes with a stick instead of using a washing machine as well!!!!!! :)

I love your quilt and you did a great job on the quilting. Don't let one person ruin your day just because he is an unfeeling twit!

Ignore him, some people just don't know they can hurt someone's feeling. Your quilt is one of most beautiful quilt I have ever seen.

:!: here's a hug :!: A lot of older men are bitter, whether it be dmentia or jus unhappiness...I dealt with this from my FIL for yearrrrrs....he never ever had a good thing to say about anything or anyone...don't take it to heart, pray for him that he softens up. By the way, beautiful colors, I always shy away from white, figure my quilting is not good enough and will show up! ;-)

I think you should have politely tried to change his mind.
Age is no excuse for rudeness.
And your quilt is worthy of praise, not criticism.

It is the doing of it, anyway, that is the expression of skill and love.

He was probably grumpy and one who could not pay any compliments, but. only try to find fault with others. Just try to forget this man. Your quilt is beautiful, I love it, and the colors

    (((((((((HUG)))))))))

Some people don't consider the feelings of others before they start spouting off. You have made a beautiful quilt. It will be an heirloom, and well loved. Pay no attention to what the man said. He was no gentleman.
