I admire your kindness of sitting and listening to an old man talk about something he thought he knew about, probably a memory in his past. And to walk away without needing to explain yourself shows how well balanced you are. You passed the BIG test....congratulations. Sending you a "Well Done" hug

Here's a virtual Hug! 1st of all you have to discount the fact that it was said by a man who has no facts. He probably is one who goes out and shoots innocent deer! You have nothing to regret! Keep on Quilting!!

Your quilt is beautiful. don't let the man discourage you in the least. If this sould ever happen again, just say, "Yes, praise the Lord, he provided me with new fabic and we are still able to wear our clothes!"

i wasn't going to log in this morning, but just had too. My first response was pure anger like everyone else. Now after reading every comment for the last 11 pages!! i kind of feel sorry for the small minded jerk :) your quilt is gorgeous-he should be the one who felt small

After witnessing the aging of parents and grandparents, I realize that things pop out of their mouths that never would have in their "middle years". For some reason, so many older folks in early stages of dementia, lose the ability to censor themselves, and what they say to others. I applaud you for removing yourself rather than argue with an old man (eventhough I'm sure you were more comfortable inside), but please know that your work is gorgeous!
