    Here are {{{{{{{hugs galore for you}}}}}}}} !

    Your quilt is beautiful.

The man may have some stage of Alzheimer's also. I know my Dad became outspoken about things he would never have done before we knew what was happening to his thinking.

    I am sorry he embarrassed you. May the Lord erase that from your memory. More hugs {{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}

don't let him rain on your parade,as the quilt is a work of art, he is mad because he can't even get in the happy parade of life.

I would have asked him where he hitched his horse and buggy! Or if he walked to the doctor's office? I bet his wife doesn't cook over an open fire either and his house has electricity! What a blow-hard know-nothing big mouth. Quilty hugs!!!

BTW, your quilt is GORGEOUS!!!!!!! You did an over-the-top job on those fabulous feathers...wanna teach me???

    Hugs to you !!!!
Different take on this older fellow... Maybe this fellow
had a very loving mother or wife that use to make quilts
out of scraps nothing new...and he cherish the time and work
she put into it.. Today we do have it so much eaiser making
quilts... I dont think it was so much a put down in his eyes
maybe just a reminder of how much time, hard work of getting
    scraps, ect....

But I do like the advantages we have... I have everything electric. embroidery machine. long arm. I just bought a Accu
    quilt go.

So if we may take a peak back in time... I dont feel like this man was thinking to cut you down Maybe Just a reflection back in time of someone he loved...

Think I would have smiled sweetly and said, "Oh, I would love to see the quilts you've made like THAT!! How many have you made? Would you be willing to teach me that technique?"

Beautiful quilt! Who knows the man may have just had some bad news and was feeling grumpy; or he might just be one of the grouches that we run into every now and then. Feel good about your work and take joy in what you have created. A major big hug is coming at you!

Next time, you can tell him that using that philosophy, we would still be washing clothes down at the creek on the rocks, riding horses to town, and using leeches to cure fevers!
