ROFLOL - gives new meaning to "challenged" - you seem to have been measuring challenged for this one! I love it! We all need a good belly laugh now and then, thanks for it.

So funny. How come no matter how many times we measure we still get unevens. :-D

I'm sooooo happy I'm not the only one who does this. I swear it was the measuring tape's fault. I did the fix of cutting the long one down and adding a complementary fabric. It really looked oh so chic! Got loads of compliments on my creativity. Little did anyone know I measured wrong to begin with. When you do this it will remain our little secret. Maybe you were just a little bit tired and your eyes played tricks on you when you were measuring. That can happen. I think the whole nailing them to your wall was quite creative thinking !!

I have done that so many times and it always with curtains. It is because we are human and humans make mistakes.

I did that making solid place mats once...I still have that set with one mat that is smaller than the rest. But since there are only three in my family (so far) who eat at the table, I use the small one as a mat for the centre piece...lol One of these days I'll make another one, I still have a ton of the fabric.

If you made a rod pocket at the top, you could just run a piece of cord or elastic through it and attach at each end and they would hang nicer. You could take out the hem of the shorter side and face it with a different fabric to lengthen it. Mistakes happen, just have to work around them...ask me how I know lol.

I did an awful job of measuring one time but it was not as easily fixed as they were the pant legs of my husbands pants. Did not look to good.LOL
