    Wow. such vision, and recycling to boot, I saw a video a while back, in which a quilt 'artist' was literally ripping pieces out of a magazine and stitching it into a wall hanging, using free motion embroidery - I can't remember the site...but it was very inspirational!!! :D

    That's proof that someone's trash is someone else's art treasure!

    Are those used coffee filters?? :shock:

    I downloaded and looked closely and they used metalic thread to quilt them down.

    It's a beautiful piece of work and very, very clever.

    WOW! My question is - When will you be doing on line lessons? Where did the idea come from? Guess that makes it my questions are..........

    This was a quilt submitted to the Mid=Atlantic Quilt Festival in
    Hampton, VA in Feb. of this year. I took pics of this because
    the person who made it, indeed made it out of used coffee filters.
    It was quilted with gold metalic thread and quite glittered in the
    light. It was stitched to a black background which was quilted in
    waves as thou the fish was swimming. It was totally awesome.
    I can't post so I send the pics to Moonpi who was very gracious
    and posted them for me. I'm glad everyone enjoyed them.
