    Your DH is going to treasure it! I can't wait to see the finished quilt. Great job. I have never seen the black around the flowers before but I really like it.

    Thank you all for your comments, I do enjoy the relaxing of hand piecing. I just wish I could get more time to do it, but life some how gets in the way of sewing. Would love to have it close to being finished by DH'S birthday in May. But will see what happens.

    This is a very special project. I think you have chosen a very meaningful way to bridge the past with the present and preserve it for the future. A quilt like this binds the generations. I am glad you are enjoying the handwork aspect of the project. Keep up the great work and show us when you are finished.
