    I like the #1 version, it makes the border blocks float.

    Me as well...I like it with the inner border. Both ways are nice but the inner border seems to make it look less "crowded" & the blocks "pop" more!

    Great colors in the quilt - I kinda agree w/Barb another VERY small to separate the inner black & black of blocks - Perhaps the lightest blue that is in the inside of the blocks??? Maybe even a bright bias tape would work here????
