I'm soooooo excited! I've been wanting a FeatherWeight for months and months (y'all are enablers! LOL!). The other day, I found one on eBay that sounded really, really wonderful. I showed DH, who grinned and said "So buy it!" He didn't have to tell me twice!
She arrived in a big brown box today, shivering from riding around in the cold UPS truck all morning. I unpacked her, and immediately exclaimed "AAAWWWWW, she's SO CUTE!!!" (Gotta keep in mind that this is the first FeatherWeight I've actually seen in person! )
Her name is Cricket, and she was born on January 23, 1950. She just had her 61st birthday! :-D
Here's some photos from the eBay listing. She's even nicer in person! She's so sleek and mirror-like, with very few imperfections. The gold detailing is very nearly perfect, the silver parts are pristine, and she only has a few tiny pin scratches on the bed. The seller gave her a thorough cleaning and polishing, a check-up, lubrication, a brand new power cord, a new oil drip pan, and new rubber feet. Her case is in excellent condition too! :) She came with several attachments, most of which I have no clue what they are. (LOL!)
Most importantly, she sews smooth as silk, and is whisper-quiet! In fact, she sewed perfectly right out of the box!

The seller has another one listed, same price, if you'd like the ID.
