I aim to please my dear. It was hard to keep from telling you what I was thinking. But, I knew that if anybody could do something with those fabrics, you could. You really did do a terrific job.heheheh!

Wow! Considering what you had to work with, you did an amazing job.
I was just shaking my head thinking there's NO way I could make those fabrics look good together.
Reminds me of when I used to make garments for people. When they brought fabric and pattern.. often I'd think no way. One man's trash another man's treasure.

You are a genius!!! I don't think anyone could one up you in a contest using the same fabrics as you were directed to use. Great pattern and the quilt that resulted is less ugly than many I've seen. It's not my style and not my colors, but you turned straw into gold. If I ever get you in a swap, I'll be lucky because if you can do that with forsaken fabric, you should swap some really awesome items. Your story made the laughs even better. Thanks for sharing both!!

When I had been quilting for about 3 years the local guild had Blanche Young as a speaker. The title of her lecture was: "I Love Ugly Fabric". She made some beautiful quilts from some really ugly fabrics. You did pretty good. If you ever again get some uglies check out some of her designs. I don't think I would have done as well as you did.
