    Default An Irish Apron

Well, I promised to show and tell my vintage apron to one of the gals on here. I have this one picture taken so I thought I would at least share it here on the board. It is for my sister who loves her irish heritage. I will drive it over today to surprise her. I only hope she likes it. I altered the pattern to be much shorter than it was originally. She likes short aprons.

Here is the one I made for my mother in law. This is the original pattern design with the flounce on the bottom.

And this one is for me. A reversable one because I am a messy cook, LOL!

Both of these are great. I am sure your mom and sister will/do love them. Thanks for sharing.

Nothing like a girly apron! i remember my Mother wearing them. I even got one very nice apron to wear when not really cooking but never got to use it. always the regular aprons for me. oh well. So pretty!!!

Thank you so much everyone! I really enjoyed making them and I plan on making a few more for gifts. I wear my cutsie aprons. Why not? I have a few that I also share when I have company in the kitchen cooking and baking. It is fun and feels like a special day wearing them no matter what the day.

The first two were made with a pattern called, " 1930's Flounce Apron", pattern by Timeless Pattern Reproductions.
The last one is a pattern by Rebecca Ruth Designs called the Verna apron. I love it in the thirties fabric I found on ebay.
