Kendra - that fabric is the perfect frame to the star, great job! :D

And I love the rick rack and the buttons - Kendra's DD will too, I'm sure! :D

The buttons will need to be removed for quilting so I did not attach them as securely as they would need to be permanent. I hope the photos post OK.
    OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE IT!!!!! And I am sure my daughter will too! I can't ask because it is a surprise but OMGosh!!! Thank you Teacup it is a great way to start the quilt! You listen very well! I think one of the best things about this is going to be there are going to be things added to this taht I would have NEVER thought about doing or trying! I am excited for the next round!

I'm glad you like it. I played with a lot of ideas before finally deciding what to try. I'm sorry for the delay. It should have been done a week ago. But when I sat down that weekend to sew, the Grinch must have been in the house because the pink thread I got to match the rick rack had disappeared. I searched everywhere and had to give up in frustration. I live in a town where the WalMart doesn't have a fabric department and it is 34 miles to the nearest store that sells thread. I work in a larger town but it was a week before my schedule allowed me to get out after work to get more pink. I still have not found the other spool!

OK, I'm ready for the next round too!

    Ok,,,,what do you think??
There are a couple "oops" in there. I didn't notice it until I was putting it on the center. Don't have enough fabric left to fix it, but it'll be ok once all the rest of the centers go on. It's just that the corners (outside), the pieces are small and will be covered by the seam. It really won't be noticable...already checked. :)

    Hope you like it!!!
