P&J...good girl for not saying it...   I'll have to also admit that I don't normally use a stay stitch either....its probably a good idea though. To be honest, I don't really know what it is

Just a stitch around the outside edge, 1/8" from edge. Keeps everything that was straight/square where it should be and prevents those seams along the edge sewn so they aren't coming loose before the next round is added. Good to know for myself, but even more important when I'm passing it off to another person - they shouldn't have to worry about restraightening or fixing seams that are coming loose.

I've been missing in action for a while...so sorry. I've got this ready to mail to Mamabird and it's on its way Monday. I had trouble finding fabric that worked but finally found a a blue that picked up the blue circle in the center block. I'm sorry for the delay. My life's been in one of those really busy, crazy stages and I had trouble getting into the sewing room, but here it is.

Thanks so much. It was a challenge to complement but not compete with the center of this bright quilt! I had numerous ideas (I wanted to use circles to pick up the center design) but nothing was right. I decided to focus on the blue of that center circle, and after trips to numerous places looking for the right blue I finally found this batik in a quilt shop I seldom get to visit. I'm glad it worked. Hope you like blue, quiltwoman!

Okay I finally finished the border on Terri's center! The colours were hard to match at first but I think I did okay!! I did keep it fairly simple but I think it works! Please let me know what you think!!
