    Regarding Quiltwoman's center...

The more I look at this laying on my cutting table the more I love it. It is truly a beautiful quilt.

I am not sure what to do yet, but I am thinking of bringing the circles out from the center. Any suggestions on techniques? I am not the best at applique and don't want to mix machine with a job done so wonderfully.

Going to be hard to send this one back!

I think using circles again would be great! That was my original idea but there was so much activity in the previous borders that everything I tried with circles was too busy, so I did the basic blue border to provide a frame. I think it's ready for circles now! Do a search for circles or circle applique here on the board and you'll get a variety of threads on the topic.

Oh my Gracious!!! I hit a mini gold mine today!!!

I was telling one of the moms at school who is a fellow quilter about QW's quilt and how I really wanted to bring out the circles but wasn't quite sure how to go about it. Today she brought me a goodie bag!!! She brought me the templates for the exact thing I had in mind and a big selection of batiks too!!!! Apparently she has a big enough stash to share.. lol will have to go visit her soon. Oh my goodness I am so excited about this, I can't wait to play with this new techinque and hopefully make a beautiful addition to QW amazing quilt!!! Woot Woot let's hear it for fellow quilters everywhere!!!!

Yippee! How fun to have the tools you need for the technique...and someone to ask for help if you get stuck.

I don't have the right fabric for Terri's quilt, so I'm shopping tomorrow.
