Ladies, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I haven't been looking at my e-mails or checking in here regularly. Our family is going through a very difficult time. I know that eventually all will be okay but right now we are struggling.
Last night when I got home I found a package, which was such a wonderful thing. My top is truly beautiful, and I look forward to finishing it and wrapping myself up in it. One thing I do need to check on - do fabrics with metallics need different care?
Tomorrow I will be off work so should finally get to the PO and send my package out. I feel bad about it being late, but can't send it from a post box as it is over 13 oz., the limit to put in a box for out of the country. I haven't gotten out of work in time to get to the p.o. when they are open. Saturday I was in class all day.
Thank you all for the lovely work you did on my top. It is just amazing.

Mamabird, I ordered the fabric for your border and it arrived. But I'm in the middle of a family medical emergency with mother-in-law and I'm away from home. It will be at least a week, maybe two, before I can get your quilt sent back to you. Sorry you have to wait so long! My daughter loves your quilt and would like to keep it herself!

My MIL came through surgery today to remove a major hemmorage in her brain. She'll be in ICU 3-4 more days and in the hospital for a week or so. I have no idea yet about recovery situation -- we live 160 miles away, and she refuses to move closer to us. Don't have a clue what all is going to be involved in the weeks to come after she gets out of the hospital. I have a few weeks vacation saved up, but that will only go so far. But for now it's enough that she's pulled through surgery, especially considering all her other health issues.
I'll sew as I get the chance, but not much time for the next week or two. I look forward to seeing everyone's finales to our quilts!
Peace and Joy, I hope things even out for your family soon. Times of struggle are hard. Hang in there.
