I might need a picture...(my grandfather used to always say to me, and everyone else - "what, do you need me to draw you a picture?" in his special voice...hard to imitate on a computer screen! But it was funny. Seriously, I can't imagine what you are saying... may need a very rough sketch to get my head around it. I'll search thru some books too to see if there's anything like you are describing...

Esq, look at my post on page 3 (or is it 4?). Those are bearpaws. And I have 16 of them if you want them!!

I was envisioning them as little birds, but it didn't work. At least on this quilt. But I have them all completed.

Well, April, I'll tell you what, I'll put you on my list, ok? I got the idea from one of the recent magazines: McCall's Quick Quilts, #17. It has a watermelon quilt on the front. And right on the front it says "STITCH wavy pleats". If you can't find it, pm me.

LOL Gai Heck I can't even stitch a NORMAL pleat lmao
I will look and see what I can find. I think that would look awesome as a bottom border for Izzy's new bedroom curtains!

This technique was done on the final round of one of the quilts in last years IRR. Pictures are clear at the bottom.

That's pretty! I hadn't thought of adding the contrasting ribbons, but I love the effect. Thanks MQC!!
