Yes, I see the red on the close up pic. And the fabric for the centres of the flowers looks like seeds I just noticed!

The flower centers are actually cordouroy. I did cut some felt for some of the centers, but I like the cordouroy better, so I'm going to do all of them that way. And I've put batting underneath to make it not flat.

That is beautiful, I like the way you overlapped the red, that makes it even more special!

Love watching all these develop, for JoeAnn's what are the colors in this? On page 4 of these postings it looks totally different than the colors here (page 10).

Well...I looked at both pics and I think it looks closer to the pic on pg. 10..it looks more purple on page 4 than it really is, but the pic on page 10 is a little bright...just a little brighter than it really is. It is really pretty...JoeAnn did a fabulous job on that center!

Ruh Roh, k3n. I told mom "Kathryn likes her sunflowers", and her reply was "That's too darned bad! You should never have shown them to her. She's going to have to come here and wrestle it out of my poor tired hands!" :?

You know, Mel's was the only one I specifically thought to do 3D. Yours is kinda 3D with the ruching, but it was serendipitous, and so was this one, actually. It was actually kwhite's idea. I was bemoaning making all those petals (there are more than 200) and having to turn all of them under, because I didn't want to do raw-edge or satin stitch. This was much easier!! But I guess I am 3 for 4 on the 3D, aren't I!! But I don't plan on 3D for Esqmommy's. Of course I didn't plan on the others, either, but we'll see! LOL

Esq, I should be done sewing the centers on by the end of the week, then it's on to you.
