WoW Gwyn that border came out so beautiful. It is perfect for Elle's center. Great Job

really perfect for Gwyn's center Kendra. Best to keep it simple, I agree.

Gywn - no I have not yet received Elle's center. When did you mail it out? The post office seems to be really interested in things you send my way. I will keep an eye and let you know as soon as it appears.

Kendra...I'm thinking that based on history, it hasn't had time yet to get there. I'm gonna cross my fingers again for this one though. I think it was a real fluke, the one that got there in a week...could we ever be so lucky again???

Thanks for the ideas. I like the idea of piecing a boarder and then some applique over the top. I did find some fabrics to help me and a couple of applique patterns. A 5" area does give me some space to work with. We shall see what emerges from the sewing room shortly. Gwyn

  I don't know! I put it in a new priority mailer. I even had my husband drive to Salt Lake City to mail it. (Everything has to go to SLC before it leaves Utah - one of the hang-ups I think.) The postman said it would be on the airplane that evening. It cost the better part of $25 to mail. I think I filled out the customs form correctly. If this keeps happening to me, I'm going to start lobbying for the return of the pony-express.

It makes me angry that they charge more and do less. I do have the receipt for the mailing, but was told that I can't purchase a tracking number for Canada. What else can I do? Oh, I know, take it on the airplane and hand deliver it to Kendra myself! I don't mind traveling, but the cost. (Course, it would be cheaper than making Elle a new center :? )

Okay, I need chocolate... sheepishly yours, Gwyn

Okay... I have decided to piece the boarder a little like I did on my center - only for under the water. Then I think I will add a crab with some cute eyes in a lower corner, looking at the seahorse in the center. So, what do you think?
