BRT, I think what strikes me about Gwyn's is the swag and heart borders have soft fluid shapes and movement which are perfect for the tree hearts of the center. But then my eye comes back to the purples/blues/greens of the center and those are in very linear geometric shapes. What about a piano keys border with the shades of the purples/blues/greens? A separation would be needed between the hearts and piano keys, similar to the dark border that surrounds the center perhaps. Like Patti said, I'd think bringing the background colors into your border would be very nice. I'm sure whatever you do will be lovely. You do such wonderful things!

The black is being washed and I went through the Fusions and chose some colors to coordinate with it. I like this combination and I added red for small accents to bring it out to the next row. Hope you like it, Elle.

I will go through the patterns and figure out which ones lend themselves to using these colors. I need to go to Walgreen's or something for two little items for the applique method I want to use. It's going to be done by machine because if I try to do it by hand it's going to take another 6 months. :P

Okay. I finally got all the embroidery and applique done, but I think it needs something. My daughters suggested a tiny but bright yellow piece between the penguins and my snowflakes, and then another tiny but bright boarder of green or purple. They also suggest I get the little googly eyes and give my snowflakes faces. What do you think?

Okay, my camera and I haven't really learned to cooperate. Sorry about that. I'll try again tomorrow.

Does that look better? Remember I can't see well enough to know very much.

I'm going to the fabric store tomorrow morning to try and get some fabric to use. I'll have to put off mailing for a couple of days, but by Wednesday, it will be on its way to Kendra. Gwyn
