I actually had the day off work and I picked up and mailed at the post office and took the quilt to the county fair. I didn't know about the other show yet. :-D

I call it the dramatic quilt top but I am not sure who it really belongs too. It has a faceted 4 point star in the center with a black background.

After looking at it for a few days, I went to JoAnn's to shop. After all, I had a ton of 50% off coupons and a $30 gift card. What would it hurt to go to JoAnn's?

Many people went gaga all over that quilt top. I finally had to put it in a bag and only look at it to match colors - I didn't want to get drool all over it.

Everything I got was on sale and I had 50% and 40% coupons on all but one item. It still cost me $50 to get out of the store! After gleefully handing over the last penny in my purse, I skipped out to the car with 4 full bags of treasure only a quilter (and her daughter) would understand.

So, I put a load in the washer and after dinner, it will be "ready, aim, measure again, aim again, deep breath and cut. Now all I need is to find my rotary cutter.
