Hi everyone, I am having a problem with a package sent to me. It has been picked up by the customs and I have a form that has been sent to me (ofcourse all in Spanish, soI have had to decipher it).

Please can you tell me when you all post your parcels to europe do you fill in a customs form because this is what has happened and it was insured for 200$. I thought you all just said it was a gift, am I right or wrong.

    Oh no Elle!
I always filled the spot in with GIFT and then put the amount as $20. Never insured any package I sent to you. Maybe that's the problem....the insurance part of it.
I hope you get it all figured out!
    HUGS!

Elle: I didn't know what to mark so I've been marking it as fabric scraps and putting a $10 value. I'll start marking as a gift now. Hope you get it figured out okay. Wow

Well Gwyn you did good and that is the best plan. We did say at the very beginning to mark it as a gift and that seems to sort out most of the problems. This is the first time this has happened, in two years in two IRRīs, I think probably I will end up having to pay for it as well I am not sure but I have a sneeky suspicion that they will want some sort of tax.

Yes Elle..you will have to pay to pick it up. Thats why we said to ALWAYS mark it as a gift and then put NO more than a $20. value...$25 at the most. I'm so sorry that it got mailed to you like that..hmmmm...do you know who its from?

We just have to take our chances with international shipping not getting lost...to insure the package is to guarentee that the person recieving will have to pay to pick it up. When you do...let us know how much it is...maybe some of us can chip in together and pay you back...its not fair that you have to pay......let me know
