    I was showing the addition to Aaron's Carpenter Wheel to my hubby and reading what Patti had written. I got to the part where her DH said it wasn't too girlie, and I told hubby ... Well! If Patti's DH says it isn't too girlie, then it isn't too girlie!
    So we studied the picture for a bit more. Hubby was with me almost every stitch of the center, including the time when I thought I had lost the center, only to find it hanging on my design wall :? ... and, he totally got that the pink thing couldn't possibly be that pink! Because that wood grain isn't ... and, he said: It will be fine. You just wait and see ... <g> which is when I showed him what I had written!
    I think we've been together too long! LOL

    Well, Joe is a good poker player.
    Me, well ... I might as well say it because my face reveals EVERYTHING I am thinking ... darn it! LOL
    I have gotten used to it, though, so I don't play poker <g>

    OK guys...I need some serious help. I am stuck for ideas for NorBanaquilt's center. My "great" idea doesn't work out well, so I tried a couple more and I'm really undecided. Here are some pics (in no particular order)...so what do ya'll think...one of these or anyone got a better idea??? Please all you great creative minds......

    I'm not in this group, but I like the middle one. The center is so busy, it might be time for a calming border. But then , this is my first IRR, so not to knowledgeable yet. :lol: :lol: :lol: Just my first thought when seeing it.
    :-D

    I also am not in this group but I too like B but have a suggestion. I would make the cornerstone squares the yellow color to help pull some of the yellow from the center out.
    Just my two cents lol

    <WAVE>
    I am in this group and border B is absolutely everything the others said.
    Hats off to you for considering all that extra work demonstrated in A and C ... but with border B, the center absolutely comes to the forefront in a most attractive manner.
    Ahhhh, optical illusions, aren't they so fun???? LOL <wave>
    I like B 8-)

    If I'm allowed a vote I vote for B too! Simple is sometimes best.
