You did great Sazu! Knowing how that looks in person...I think you made a great choice! I'm betting the NorBana will NOT be getting this quilt! LOL!

Yes it does have a story and I am actually going to include it on the back of the quilt for all to see so it lives on. It is proof positive that sometimes with a little hope and some prayers, miracles do still exist :D

Well ladies, I finally quilted the tabby quilt. It will be donated to the group- Hardeman Adoptable Animals. They are a volunteer group that operate a no-kill shelter in my county. They have no funding and this will be a raffle quilt for them. I think it turned out beautifully and it was a joy to quilt since all of your work was so perfect!! Great job to all of you ladies. I hadn't registered this when it was posted. Its gorgeous!!! I can't believe you do your quilting on a DSM!
It should have made the shelter lots, and hopefully has gone to an appreciative new home!

Well Sarah, seems we have a problem. They got their 501C designation about a year ago. That is the official designation for a charitable organization. Under the rules, they cannot hold a "gambling event" (which a raffle is considered) for 5 years. They are desparately seeking some type of work around, but to date...no luck. They do have the quilt but haven't figured out how to raise the most funds with it. I've asked them NOT to auction it off as IMHO that doesn't raise much $$ for quilts. So.....story continues......
