Do you as a group add pictures with each round or do we all have to wait to see the finished projects?

We will be adding pictures as each round is completed. We are just receiving the centers so it might be a couple of weeks until something is posted.

Here are the pictures of Miss Bev's center.

This is a wonderfully traditional applique block ... I especially like those blue birds at the top, but the whole center is impressive to me.

I hope the stitches show up .. if you notice, there are several layers of work in the center. A close up of a flower to prove that it is completely stitched! I am just in awe!

I want you to notice the back of this center. It is totally applique ... no fusible to be found! See the little birds' eyes? I have a story about them!

    The eyes!
I got the center ready for its picture and figured "with all that handwork, I do not think Miss Bev would appreciate my leaving the wrinkles in" so over to my ironing board I toddle.
I am ironing away, feeling very satisfied that I have done no harm, when all of a sudden!
I notice that the birds have little black eyes.
hmmm .... I do not remember hearing the iron clicking on anything, and I frantically grab the little birds' heads to see if I have ruined something!
I feel that the plastic beads don't seem to be damaged, but they don't seem to be beads, either!
    Hmmm ....
Can you imagine my relief when I turn the piece over and find that the birds' eyes are actually French knots !?!?!?
Now, you would think that if I know a french knot when I see it, that I would be a little more confident about what I think I know .... but, I am telling you! I almost had a heartattack, thinking I had wrecked the eyes of the blue birds, when those are my favorite parts of the center!
Thankfully, my panic didn't become full blown until after I realized I hadn't done anything wrong ... <g>

What a beautiful center.....and I too am in awe of her skill. The stitching looks perfect.

The stitches are so tiny and the same size, I bet she never thought you would be showing off the back as well. So beautiful, thanks for sharing, Cindy

The inside stitches didn't show up because she used lighter colored thread to match the light fabric in that flower ... I probably should have taken a picture of the flower front before showing the back ... but, I agree with you - - Miss Bev probably never thought I would do such a thing! But, with nice stitches like that? Why wouldn't I? LOL
