Beautiful top! It doesn't really need a border unless you want to make it larger. In that case I would go with the darker pink from the hat and sleeve on the Sue's, with possibly a very thin inner border of the brown.

Count me in on the small darker print group ... Just a simple border of just one fabric a little wider than the sashing to frame it all up and pull all the colours together.

Ditto on auditioning fabrics in the store .... and don't rush to a decision. If it's not speaking to you, don't be persuaded to purchase it.

Since I love applique borders, I would add a white border with vines of flowers and maybe a bird or two.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! You might be able to find a white/cream fabric with pink on it or a pink fabric with a white/cream print on it. Also you could do a creamy colored lacy printed fabric. I found some at Hobby Lobby that I fell in love with. Good luck and please post pictures of it completed!!! :)

Another thought .... Keep your eyes open for a pink gingham or a pink candy stripe fabric for the border and/or the backing. (of course, would have to match/blend)
