I used regular thread... looks much better on the back than the front and I think it is because of the seams... the blocks were doubled so the threads did not show through... But on this pattern the picture shows this design and she wanted this on the quilt, so there it is.. I hope she likes it, because the stitches are tiny.. and I am not picking it out... ha ha ha !!! she will love it I am sure :) thanks for asking and I hope that helped.....

OMG!!!!! That's exactly why I bought that same kit at the Quilt show!!!! It is SOOOOO Adorable! You did a fantastivc job!!!!! I don't think I'll be ready by Christmas this year I only hav A,B,D,G and half of E/F done..

It is a crabapple hill pattern. it should be, check it out at crabapplehill.com. they have several Christmas patterns, when i checked they had it.

I didn't do the embroidery work, just the quilting, she said it took her a while. but she kept right on it, to have it for Christmas. but looking at it, it is time consuming.
