It was really hard.... I had to go so slow, and move fast so the thread didn't break from being in one place too long... I did it like I do the snowflakes, just followed the seams which were hard to see... and moved it back and forth, as you can see the stitches are not perfect... I used regular thread... looks much better on the back than the front and I think it is because of the seams... the blocks were doubled so the threads did not show through... But on this pattern the picture shows this design and she wanted this on the quilt, so there it is.. I hope she likes it, because the stitches are tiny.. and I am not picking it out... ha ha ha !!! she will love it I am sure :) thanks for asking and I hope that helped.....

Yes.. it is the crabapple.com Snowmen A To Z pattern. I think she added the lights and bells on her own.. but it does show the red work to cover the seams...
