adorable... I love the giraffes and grey seems to be the hot color these days. I think your quilt could be for either girl or boy just in case the ultra sound is wrong again. :P

Congratulations to the new addition to the family. Love this quilt. I bet the baby will have a great time trying to pick the flowers. Cute idea. BrendaK

    Love your sweet baby quilt!
I had the same thing happen 14 years ago when my son and his wife were expecting. The ultrasound showed a girl, so I made the cutest pink navy and gray stars and moon quilt. I was so proud to have it ready 2 months ahead of time. Then my ddil went in for a free gender check ultrasound, about face, it was a boy! I saved the girly quilt for several years thinking someone in the family would have a girl. Nope, all boys. I finally gave it to a neighbor who had a little girl.

Ahhh...but then the ultrasound said "Girl". Huh? Being carried that low....can't be. Yup.... a girl. Not to fear.....I would just add pink blossoms to the tree branches....so I ordered some adorable little pink crochet flowers. Sewed one on and got the call ....... Definitely....A.... BOY!!!! Due April 4th, 2015!!

Back to Etsy and my sweet friend.......blue crochet flowers? Yep! On the way. I created this pattern myself and appliqued the gray felt tree and branches on. They are stitched down with a small zigzag. The blue and white crochet flowers are hand tacked down. Had it quilted locally.
Very cool ... My daughter is expecting a boy April 2nd. Would love to hear when your little guy arrives

I also made a baby quilt a while back using the same giraffe fabric. Turned out so cute. The parents didn't find out the gender before hand so I had to do it gender neutral. So it was a perfect choice of fabric.
    Yours is very cute.
