I mailed the quilt off this morning...I hope it gets there okay. I will definitely let you know what her reaction to it is. Also, when I shipped it, I had to declare the value. I said $200, which is about double the cost of the materials. Does that sound too high??

I have been told that using the Post Office for quilts, that they will only pay with receipts for the material & threads that made the quilt. Nothing will be paid for your time unfortunately. I pray that the quilt will make it there and you will not have to worry about a lost claim.

Fabulous quilt all the way around and you are truly a wonderful quilter. Not only did you share your beautiful work with us but you so generously shared details regarding the quilt. As it happens, I purchased the same fabric but in a different colorway and had not decided what to do with it. After seeing your gorgeous piece of work, I can't imagine anything different so hope that you don't mind if I "steal" your pattern to use when I eventually make my quilt. You friend should be very pleased - - hope that she appreciates all the work that you put into it.

I LOVE everything about your quilt, the fabric choice, the design, color, backing is just great and the label is exquisite! Congrats on a beautiful job, even your stippling is perfect!!!!
