So today I just did. It is a take off on a Patrick Lose pattern and I used most of his fabrics. Then I just played with the different blue areas doing different fills and I hid something in 3 of the blue backgrounds... for my grand kids to find. I sewed in a bee, 2 dragonfly and a butterfly. For many years, I could tell people that I was a quilter, but I had nothing in my home to show them except pictures. I gave everything away. A few years ago, I started making quilts for me, too. So, good for you. Quilters are a generous and loving group of people, but we tend to neglect ourselves.
