I already posted pics of the cushion, but everyone asked to see pics of the ‘Itty Bitty Kitty’ I was planning to make….well here it is! It was really easy to make, only slightly complicated by the fact that I decided to do it with fabric made up of strips. In fact it took me longer to stuff it than it did to sew it. The pattern is by Cotton Ginny if anyone else wants to try it. For anyone that didn’t read my previous post, the cushion and kitty are gifts for Lottie, who is my friends Stu & Gill’s baby girl, she is 1 next week.

Then I started on a denim quilt that I have decided to make for Jake, the little boy of another set of friends, Greg & Rachel. Jake is 5 in three weeks time.

    Busy busy busy! Love it!

Hi Loretta, the denim quilt is going to be plain old squares, as you see in the pic. I'm wary of doing anything more complicated as the seams are so bulky. I'm going to use flannel for the back, and am thinking of stitching the name JAKE in huge block letters (to fill the whole space) as the quilting. Jake's birthday is in three weeks so I don't have much time to do too much fancy stuff!

Love the kitty and cushion! Waaayyy to cute for just a little baby, don't you think? Maybe you need to send them to someone old enough to really appreciate them.....(jumping up and down and waving hands wildly!!!)
