I love your fabric choices. I get frustrated too, but learned to take it slower and just leave it alone for awhile if I get too frustrated. You will do just fine and we all will love to see your progress and end result.

when i make a quilt in that style i never waste my time pinning and worrying whether everything will match up evenly from one end to the other.

because your coins are different sizes, it won't matter at all if you just cut straight across each end to even them up. it will still be beautiful. nobody will know the difference. :-)

Dreamer, You're doing a beautiful job. After you even your edges by cutting back to the shortest strip, just measure both long sides (example: If one side is 30" and the other 30 1/4" then cut your border strip the longer 30 1/4".) Then you pin these to the long sides of your top by putting a pin on each end, then in the middle. Next pin between the pins, etc until its all pinned. Don't cut your top & bottom border until the sides are on & pressed, then measure like before.

I am so pleased you are challenging yourself to do what you love to do. I am an Occupational Therapist and I can understand some the challenges you must be facing. To see all those cut squares neatly displayed fills me with admiration. Well done but take care with that cutter! Keep us posted won't you?

It must be very frustrating for you but you're on your way to a really pretty quilt. Keep up the good work.

I think you deserve a hug high five. I too am less abled. I have severe nerve damage and had to relearn how to use my hands (legs, feet, etc). Often I sew and cant figure out why my machine is NOT WORKING. I have checked yup plugged in, yup light is on why is it not working?? I had been pressing down and pressing down on that darned foot pedal only to discover when I look under the table that my foot isnt anywhere near the foot pedal. Cutting scares me the most. I dont feel as well as other people and my coordination is not all that. I love the quilt your making. You took on a huge challenge and your doing great. Even regular quilters here if you look hard at the pics do the same exact thing with their rows. I find I have to work so hard at matching those corners and seams often I get truly frustrated. Take a break, cup of tea or coffee and approach it again. Be proud of yourself that your trying hard and each step is a huge accomplishment. Hugs from Avery, CA.

Dreamer, it is coming along beautifully! I think I may need to move this 'want to try' higher to the top of the list!
I am looing forward to your next set of pictures!
