Young Quilters grow up to be big quilters. I started about first grade too..... I love to encourage young people to learn sewing, quilting, etc...

She did a wonderful first job. Love her eye for design and color already.

Thank you all again. She loves the quilting part the best. I think it's because it does not limit her. She just goes crazy lol. She is tickled about the comments as I read them to her so thank you for encouraging her.

Oh Okay if I must LOL She actually has picked out quite the stash for herself. Now I have to cut it in to squares for her. I will not let her use the rotary cutter and the scissors just don't cut it..no pun intended :-P

Well so far she has taken quite a bit of my blues, some dog fabric, (she tried to steal my horse fabrics-oh the horror!! I told her they were for a special project and once I was done she could have some lol), and lots of butterflies. She also picked out some fruit & vegetable ones that surprised me. She then proceeded to tell me
"Mom I am a vegetarian." I was like "What? You are?" She said "yup I do not like meat." I said to her well than you should be eating a lot more vegetables and you can't eat french fries, or brown chicken (this is what she calls fried chicken) or bologna sandwiches." and she said..."well maybe I am not a vegetarian after all" LOL
