    Hello Everyone
Here is the sample I made of the pillow covers I am making for my daughter Izabella. She has a pillow that she has slept with since birth but as she has gotten older she has started to curl her hand around the tag on the pillow and now it is almost gone. I decided to try and make her something that would have a lot of options (I figure better than sucking her thumb). I had asked for different texture fabrics from the folks on the board and received a lot of different ones-thank you all!! I will be able to make her at least 5 covers so she will never be without!
    Hugs

The green pillow is just a background lol

I was also told by a friend upon seeing this that it might be great for children with Autism so I will be making some for that cause as well :-)

GREAT idea! I use to love the silks on my blankets even when I was in my teens. I'd still rub them between my fingers. Guess what I do now? I don't have any silks but I scrape my index fingernail across my thumbnail! Still a "habit" Drives DH nuts but I can't stop for some reason! And yes you are right, better than sucking my thumb! I use to do that too!

How truly wonderful! I really like it, and that is incredibly kind to make some for autistic children.

Those are a good idea. Iv'e heard that being able to touch different textures helps.
My grandmother's name was Isabella and she was called Izzy, also. Isabella is such a pretty name.

April - That looks great! I wasn't sure how you were going about this.
    Thank you for sharing pictures.

My DS10 loves the soft, fuzzy textures and satiny textures. I will have to show him this.

And, yes, it is a lot better than sucking her thumb! lol
