When I made mine I made the HST the same size as the whole 4 Patch! I love the star and pinwheel design you made in yours...more ideas for my next scrappy, thank you
Thanks Izy. I also have made a Jacob's Ladder as you described. Here is a picture before it was quilted. I made this one for my DD's BFF Jenn when she graduated from highschool. It sure was a lot less piecing!! BTW - LOVE your avatar quilt!! That is on my "to do" list!
Oh that's a beautiful quilt too! I have just got to stitch the binding down on my version which I will be doing over the next few days while we are having a peaceful few days away!

Here's a link to mine in case you missed it:

It is a lot of piecing but I chain pieced as much as I could and you can see that I changed the two 4 patches for HST's to creat a diamond effect, my 4 Patch/HST's finished at 3"!

    Isn't this pattern versatile! :-D :-D :-D

Hi Izy: Yours is a stunner!! I love scrappies - you are such an inspiration. So how did you quilt yours? Thankfully I have a longarm and didn't have to wrestle like you did! Yes, I love the versatility of this pattern too. I chain-pieced until I had miles of little pieces coming out the back of my sewing machine!!
