    Default Jacob's Ladder Variation

Several years ago I made the quilt top from blue and brown scraps. It sat until I finally got a machine big enough to quilt it. Just finished, and this one's for hubby.

I used Jacob's Ladder blocks, but would anyone know if there's a name to this arrangement? Haven't been able to find one just like it on the internet.

When you arrange Jacob's ladder blocks like that it is a Buckeye beauty. But you have switched the light to form the squares on point, usually in a Buckeye Beauty the prints (or darks) form the square on point so in the blocks the HST unit is reversed.

Here is an example of a buckeye beauty done in the more traditonal way.

Edited to add, just found an on line shop that offered a class that has it set the way you have.

Ah, so that's what it is! A Buckeye Beauty with the values reversed.... Thank you Feline!

Love your kitty quilt and especially the paw print quilting. (Wonder if I could do those freehand....?)
