Default Jane Stickle - Row 8

Find these in my album of the same name 2nd Half. I can see the end? beginning? on my frame now. Included is my favourite from this row.

Are you assembling them in a "quilt as you go" method?

Are you using the book? or a computer program"

Or did you decide to make your blocks "in the style of"?

I was very disappointed with the book.

And thank you for saying "Jane Stickle".

I hand pieced them all exactly as they were printed. I either traced a pattern from the book or took measurements and eyeballed. I didn't buy the CD or use any on line instructions. Where I could I changed them to applique ( I'm regretting some of that now). I assembled the whole top and actually scrounged a full sized frame . The book and CD were a gimmick but I liked the idea of the sampler quilt with small portable blocks. I stitched them everywhere. Yes the book on it self was weak but I decided it was my quilt, my way, her blocks. I've seen a lot of variations ie colour, or just repeating a few blocks for the whole thing, but this was sort of my baptism in quilting. It's taken about 5 years to get here. Remember, I AM a long arm owner/operator!

I like this block. I look forward to seeing the quilt as a whole.
