I made one of these jar pin cushions too and I had the same problem with the glue and the lid seemed to be so thick that the lid won't screw on, but it's really cute and I use it for spools of thread anyway. It's cute in my sewing room!

I made some of these for my quilting friends. I put the mini sewing kits inside.........Everyone was excited over them.
Purchased the mini kits from the $ Tree.

Those are really cute. If I can find the jars, I'm going to copy you and make a few as gifts for my friends. I'm really sorry you had the problem with the glue. I appreciate your pointing it out so the rest of us can try to avoid doing the same thing.

Here is the tute I used as a guideline- I did find I had to make the top fabric bigger then she stated- she calls for it about 1 inch bigger than the ring I went about 2 inches- I guess it depends on how much fiberfill you use

Have you tried peeling off the glue? It may come off in chunks cold, or you can try reheating it with your blow dryer. I've used a little craft iron (easier to clean). Get as much off as possible then try jamming the lids on and let them sit for several days. Good luck.

These are really cute. You put more stuffing in than I did (yours look better though). I made sewing repair kits for each of mine and will give them to the younger women in the family so they can sew on buttons, etc. (I included some basic buttons.) But I like the emergency chocolate idea!

They look really good. Know what you mean about things going wrong.

These are so cute! A friend of mine uses one of these as a sugar bowl on her kitchen table.
