I am learning about quilting and when I saw the jelly roll ideas I was inspired to buy some jelly rolls from Ebay. The following photos are of my first project.

I sewed each strip side-by-side. Then I cut the strips in half, then I cut one half into two halves. Then I sewed the two short halves on to themselves to make them longer. Then I combined it all.

This was also my first time to quilt on my sewing machine. Squiggles is about all I can do right now.

Not perfect, but I like the idea and love the colors.

You wasted no time into turning them into beautiful quilt. I've heard from alot of quilter's to start with squiggles. No problem with that.

Thanks. I have another jelly roll in the same colors that I have made into a quilt top using a pattern from this forum. I'm putting off finishing it so I'm fresh - it turned out much larger because of the borders.
