Default Jelly roll style quilt with "modern" quilting.

I finished this one last week. I decided to try "modern" style quilting. You can laugh...I used polyester batting, so it should be fine even though there are large unquilted areas.

I was being a bit facetious when I did this, because some of the modern quilt tops look so "awful" to me--like things just thrown together--

But in the end, it's okay...I don't mind the look of this and it was definitely "different".

This is my nr. 98 finished quilt for the year.

Your use of shorter strips of the jelly roll and the "wonky" quilting really give nice interest to your quilt. Good job!

I like the quilting--it adds interest to the jelly roll quilt--as wildly different as the fabrics can be in a JRQ, to me, they all look more alike than different--the quilting makes this one stand out from the crowd! Nice work.

I like the quilting - I may use this style for some small jelly roll baby quilts that I give to charity.
